The sequel to the crazy and peculiar conference saga will take place on July 21 at 9:00 p.m.
Despite the fact that E3 this year has been canceled due to the coronavirus crisis, video game companies have tried to maintain the tradition of holding events similar to those they have done in other years, albeit with a certain delay compared to previous times. . In this case, Devolver Digital, which for a few years have been conducting their absurd and crazy conferences during E3, will return to the fray with what they call D3: Devolver Digital Direct.
As they affirm from the company itself through a fun press release, Devolver intends with this event “to raise the level in terms of exaggerated marketing videos,” and they will do so with a stream that will take place on July 11 at 9:00 p.m. – Peninsula time. This event, “a spectacular waste of the marketing budget”, promises, “always beyond our means”, release dates, new games , new gameplays, as well as guests from the industry, although they warn, in reference to fiascos like the Ubisoft with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which “will be almost all gameplay because it is what young people today want to see.”
In addition, the event will end with some surprises and demos of games such as Carrion, Disc Room and a game to announce, although they also say that “perhaps one more game will fall, but the truth is that we ourselves are not very clear where we want to go with this”. What is clear is that it will continue the madness of previous years, with its false and robotic CEO Nina Struthers in charge of an “unnecessarily intricate narrative” that they invite to catch up through last year’s conference.
