It is undeniable to say that we have not seen those action movies where there is a group of thugs who are going to end the world and curiously the CIA has a super man up its sleeve who will kill all the bad guys. That reminds us of those movies full of action and moments of tension where in the end the good guy always wins and does things that would seem impossible in real life. You can play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
This approach is the same in Hitman 2, only that the bad guys don’t want to end the world, they just want to do their illicit business, but while Agent 47 is on duty, that will be impossible. Here, we had the opportunity to play this title before and here we bring you our review.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND:
It is not completely necessary that you have played the previous installment, since the game does not develop in a climax that is not very understandable, that is, it is a separate game from the previous one. The first level is introductory and is basically a tutorial for you to learn (or remember) the basics of the game: handling of the character, objectives, weapons, costumes, etc.
HISTORY:
The main plot continues the same approach that the saga has been carrying for more than a decade: Agent 47, a super man developed by the CIA, will become a hitman who with his stealth abilities will be able to finish off his enemies without being discovered.
The adventure takes place in 6 maps distributed around the world, each one has incredible details that make them worlds full of missions and secrets, but we will delve into it later.
GAMEPLAY:
We think this is the strongest aspect of the game, even though it completely inherits all the functions of its predecessor and we didn’t notice a major change as such, this is good as it repeats the formula that saved Hitman (2016).
The story maintains the same approach throughout the game, the gameplay is what makes Hitman an almost eternal title. The game is one of the few that reaches the point where you get into the character completely, since the development you have in the missions will depend entirely on how you execute each action, details as small as passing behind a mirror or being detected by Someone on the street can make you lose your strategy and you will have to re-plan it.
GRAPHICS:
Perhaps the weakest point of the game , since it inherits the graphics engine from the last installment, so having graphics from a 2016 game, we owe a lot, since if we compare it with titles of the new generation, the graphic aspect is key to the development of the game.
And it is that as we mentioned before, the story is complemented with each map and it is that the entire ecosystem of the map has a role in the development of the missions, among the people on the street there may be a snitch, a building may have secrets or The streets can be a huge maze that can help or harm you in your mission.
But it is right here where the graphics of the game owe us a lot, since the artificial intelligence of the game could make a completely immersive scenario, however some details that play an important role are simply seen as filling elements.
In terms of sound and musicalization, the game is strong, everything plays an important role to achieve this tension that each mission causes and in some cases festive music plays an important role in Latin maps.
EXTRA GAME MODES:
There are some game modes that serve to complement the experience, presenting the ghost mode, which is a kind of 1v1. Where you will have to complete a mission in less time than a real opponent, so that while you are performing the mission you can see the ghost of your rival and see who can do the mission in less time.
Another game mode is that of Marksman, where the idea is basically taken from titles like Sniper Elite , where the objective is not tactics but stealth to finish off opponents from very long distances using a sniper.
The game modes do their job, but they are not very attractive, they are simply to complement the experience and be a tool to improve individual performance.
To conclude, Hitman 2 does not disappoint the fans of the saga , since it comes to polish errors and details that the past game brought, however, it does not finish consolidating itself as a game of the new generation, rather it feels like a second last game season.
